Are there different types of storage units available?
Yes, we offer a variety of unit types, including outdoor car parking, truck parking, boat parking, rv parking, standard drive-up storage units and temperature-controlled (a.k.a. climate controlled) storage units for items sensitive to temperature and humidity. Can I rent a storage unit online?
Yes, you can rent a storage unit right on our website. Just select your preferred unit and complete the reservation process.

What are the security measures in place at your facility?
We have 24/7 video surveillance, secure access control for temperature-controlled storage, and well-lit premises to ensure the safety of your belongings. We always recommend using a high quality disc style lock for drive-up storage units and a 'boot' style lock on any vehicles or trailers stored.

How do I access my storage unit?
You'll receive a unique access code upon renting a unit. Use this code to enter our temperature controlled building and accessing your unit 24/7. If you have a drive-up storage unit our outdoor vehicle storage space, no code is necessary.

What are the hours of operation for your storage facility?
Our facility is open 24x7. Prospective renters can take care of anything needed on the website. If you need telephone assistance, call (913) 363-3630 between 7AM and 9PM seven days a week.

Do you offer climate-controlled storage?
When some people refer to climate-controlled storage, they expect mechanical systems that will keep the space within temperature and humidity limits. We offer temperature-controlled storage, which keeps those units between 50 degrees and 85 degrees year round. Heating and Cooling systems can improve humidity through normal operation, but we do not separately/independently control the humidity.

Can I store my vehicle, boat, or RV at your facility?

Are there any restrictions on what I can store in my unit?
While most items can be stored, there are restrictions on hazardous materials, illegal goods, and perishable items. Please refer to our rental agreement for a detailed list.

Do you provide packing and moving supplies?
As a small "lights-out" storage facility in Louisburg, Kansas, we do not have a retail store for packing and moving supplies.

What is the rental process like?
The rental process involves selecting a unit size through our website, providing necessary documents, paying for the remainder of the current month as well as the full next month, and signing a rental agreement. It's a quick and easy process. There is an administrative fee for setting up new customers, but this is waived when setting up automatic ACH payment.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Debit, and Checking/Savings ACH. We pay the processors much lower fees for ACH payments than Credit/Debit card payments, which is why we waive the $35 setup charge when setting up automatic ACH payments.

Is insurance required for my stored items?
While insurance is not required, we highly recommend it to protect your stored items. You can use your existing insurance or purchase a dedicated policy. We do not offer insurance at this time.

How does insurance for stored items work?
Insurance for stored items typically covers theft, damage, and certain natural disasters. You can discuss specific coverage options with your insurance provider.

What happens if I lose my key?
We do not have keys to your lock. If you lose all of the keys, we will charge a reasonable fee to cut the lock off for you.

Do you provide a lock?
We do not provide a lock. We recommend that you purchase a  high-quality disc-style lock to secure your items.

Can I transfer to a different storage unit?
In most cases, you can transfer to a different unit within our facility based on availability. Contact our staff to discuss the transfer process and any associated fees.

How do I change my contact information or billing details?
You can update your contact information and billing details through your online account. Please keep your information up to date. Having outdated information can lead to our not being able to reach you for any issues, including payment issues, which can have devastating effects.

Is there a minimum rental period?
All we require is 30 days' notice when you're going to move out. We do not prorate the last month's rent.

What happens if I don't pay my storage fees on time?
We have a grace period for late payments. Double check your storage agreement, but it is likely 9 days. If fees remain unpaid, your unit may be subject to late fees, or even a lien sale as outlined in the rental agreement. We try hard to avoid this scenario, which is part of why we ask you to keep your information up to date, and have a backup contact person in case you're unreachable for an extended period of time.

How can I cancel my storage rental agreement?
To cancel your rental agreement, please provide 30 days' written notice and ensure your unit is empty and swept clean. Refer to the rental agreement for specific terms.

Do you offer discounts or promotions?
Yes, we offer various promotions and discounts throughout the year, which change from time to time. Visit our promotions page for current offers.

Can I share access to my storage unit with someone else?
You can typically share access with others, but it's your responsibility to manage access. You are also responsible for their safety and behavior while they're on the property. Be sure to provide authorized users with your access code and key. Please let our staff know of additional individuals with access, as we may interfere with their access if they are not on the rental agreement, for the safety of your belongings.

How do I protect my items from dust and pests?
We recommend using proper packing materials and covering or sealing your items in plastic or protective coverings. We also maintain regular pest control measures within our facility.

What's the maximum weight limit for items stored in a unit?
There's no specific weight limit. If you have an unusually heavy item to store that you believe may damage a concrete floor, please contact us to discuss.

Do you have an on-site manager?
No, however the owners live nearby and make frequent security checks on the property. We can also meet you at your storage unit, if needed.

Can I access my unit on holidays?
You can access your unit 24/7/365 unless we are doing some sort of maintenance or other conditions (including but not limited to weather) make it unsafe for visitors on the property. See your storage agreement for more details.

Is there a waiting list for storage units?
We maintain a waiting list for units that may become available. Our website allows you to join the waiting list for any unit type that has no availability.

Do you offer 24/7 security monitoring?
Our facility has 24/7 video surveillance to provide security for your stored items.

Can I use my storage unit for business purposes?
Yes, you can use your unit for business storage, inventory, and records. We offer both personal and commercial storage solutions. You may not operate a business out of your storage unit, you may not receive packages at your storage unit, and there is no power in your storage unit.

How often can I visit my storage unit?
You can visit your unit as often as needed.

Do you have a referral program?

How can I report maintenance or security issues?
Please contact our staff to report any maintenance or security concerns, and we'll address them promptly. If life or property is in danger, first call 9-1-1 before calling our staff.

Can I rent multiple storage units under one account?
Yes, you can reserve multiple units under a single account for your convenience.

What should I do if I need to downsize or upsize my storage space?
Contact our office to discuss resizing your storage unit based on your changing needs.

Is there a fee for early termination of the rental agreement?
Refer to your rental agreement for information on fees associated with early termination, however, as of this time, all we ask is for 30 days' notice of your intent to vacate.

Can I make changes to my rental agreement, such as changing the rental period?
Changes to your rental agreement, including the rental period, are subject to our terms and conditions. Contact our office to discuss any desired changes.

What should I do if I have items that need special care (e.g., delicate furniture or antiques)?
We recommend using our temperature-controlled storage for delicate items. Proper packaging and protection are also essential. We also recommend using pallets or 2x4s to hold your items off the concrete in case of moisture.

How do I prepare and pack items for storage?
Proper packing includes using sturdy boxes or totes, labeling, and sealing items in plastic or protective coverings. We offer packing supplies for your convenience.

What items are prohibited from storage?
Prohibited items include hazardous materials, explosives, flammable materials, and illegal goods. Please refer to our rental agreement for a detailed and more comprehensive list.

Can I store perishable items or hazardous materials?
No, you cannot store perishable items, hazardous materials, or anything that may pose a risk to other renters or our facility.

Do you offer moving services or truck rentals?
We do not offer moving services or truck rentals.

You can access your account and make payments through our website's customer portal.

What happens if my storage unit is damaged by weather or other unforeseen circumstances?
We recommend purchasing insurance to protect your items in such cases. Wildcat Storage Center and our affiliates are not responsible for damage or theft of your property.

Can I rent a storage unit for short-term or long-term storage?
There's no need. Stay as long as you like under the terms of your rental agreement. All we ask is for 30 days' notice when you're ready to move out..

How do I retrieve my items from storage?
You can access your unit 24x7. Be sure to bring your access code and key.

Is there a grace period for late payments?
